Personal Branding - Part 2 of 2 - Communicate your Personal Brand
(Part 1 - What is a Personal Branding?)
The next step is how to communicate your personal brand. The excellent news is that there are many easy and efficient ways to share who you are.
Here are the 5 main ones you should focus on.
Your Body Language
This is the way you stand, the way you shake someone's hand, the way you sit at a meeting, the way you use your voice when you give a presentation, the words you use, etc. All those elements will contribute to growing your personal brand around you.
Look also at the words in your answers to the 4 questions to define your personal brand and implement them in your vocabulary. Embody them.

The Way you Dress
Every single morning we make a choice to wear certain clothes, a certain color, accessories, etc. That choice means something.
Even if you are super casual, it contributes to the way people perceive you. If that's in line with how you want to be remembered, it's cool. However, if by answering the 4 questions, you are heading in another direction, get the help of an image consultant to help you get there. It doesn't mean you will have to change your entire wardrobe; it will simply be to change your way in combining some clothes together, or about wearing colors that enhance your skin tone or clothes that match your body type.
Social Media
You may have the main ones like Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin, but depending on your targets, there is also Tik Tok, SnapChat, etc. On any of those, when you share something, take a step back just before sharing and ask yourself:
Am I using the words that define my brand and that are in line with the message I want to convey?
Are the images or my portraits depicting correctly the energy I want to convey?
Am I using the right medium to reach my target audience?
Website
If you have your own business, you are probably already using this medium. If not, I strongly suggest you have your own website. Nowadays, with platforms like Wix or Squarespace, building a website is getting intuitive, easy, and inexpensive.
Make sure that every detail on your website is in line with your message and your target audience. Your website might be the absolute first place your target audience goes to see you. They will build their perception of you through the quality of your products or services by the quality of your website, your portraits, and your text. People look at your images before they read your information. We should never underestimate that.
Are you happy with your current professional images? Do you need to step up your game with professional portraits? It is crucial to the growth of your revenue and business.
Even if you are in the middle of a corporate career, a growing trend is to have your own website at your name. First of all, the big advantage is that you will be able to fully control what people see about you. Second, it gives you more visibility when someone types your name on Google. Everything on that website (the font, your words, the colors, your business headshot) has to be cohesive with the personal brand you are building every day offline.

Blog and Guest Blogging
Writing a blog or guest blogging on a topic that you are passionate about, or to set yourself as an expert in a field, is very efficient.
It will set you apart from your colleagues or competitors, and it will give you solid visibility in terms of SEO and Google Search when someone types your name.
Why do we need to understand this on a portrait level?
You have the power to define your brand by aligning your intentions with actions. That is, changing your decisions and behaviors to influence how others see you and to help them connect both emotionally and intellectually to the image you hope to portray. If that image aligns with the opportunities you want, then you are more likely to secure them.
